Engineered stone generally refers to engineered quartz, engineered marble stone, etc. The composition of each stone depends on the category it belong to. Common composition includes resin, solid surfacing material, aluminum powder for engineered stone, pigment, and curing agent. The manufacturing process of polymer composites for architecture is a series of chemical processes. With the progress of science and technology, this kind of polymer composite has emerged and been continuously improved. Engineered stone is a new type of eco-friendly material, mainly used in architectural decoration.

Artificial Marble

Artificial marble, also known as cultured marble or engineered marble, is made of natural marble or granite stone particles bound together by an adhesive, usually cement, gypsum and unsaturated polyester resin, and is formed by stirring, grinding and polishing. Therefore, artificial marble stone maintains many characteristics of natural marble stone. Because artificial marble can be manufactured and adjusted manually, it has various color, good flexibility, seemingly seamless connection, excellent brightness and a range of colors. With ceramic luster, high hardness, durability, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, cultured marble is very easy to clean.

Quartz Stone

Engineered quartz stone is made from 93% natural quartz stone and blended with advanced polymer resins, minerals and other additives. The mixture with superior color pigment is heated and compressed under vacuum in a large press and turned into a highly compact compound. The final quartz product must go through the professional process, including cutting, drying, surface polishing, scraping and thickness calibrating. Engineered quartz is now very popular for various design countertop, which is durable, stain and scratch resistant, thus easy to care for.
